Active Harborough District - suspension of sessions
Posted: Wed, 18 Mar 2020 10:58
After reviewing the government advice issued on 16 March 2020, Active Harborough District has made the decision to suspend activities we are responsible for delivering for the foreseeable future.
The health and safety of our participants, volunteers, instructors and wider sporting community is our main priority and to avoid the spread of Coronavirus we will follow the government advice to move away from organising mass gatherings and for the public to avoid all non-essential contact.
This means suspending activities we are directly responsible for, including:
- Steady Steps: Falls Prevention
- Steady Steps plus
- Cancer Rehabilitation Programme
- Community Exercise referral Classes
- New Age Kurling
- Walking For Health
- Twilight Games
- Couch 25k Running groups
- Pre and Post Natal Swim sessions
Our service depends on working in partnership with many local instructors and local organisations, some of whom may deliver sessions independently from Active Harborough District. If you are unsure if your session will be delivered, please get in contact with your instructor or organisation.
Active Harborough District is aware of the rapidly changing environment and will keep this decision under constant review as we continue to monitor the latest advice from government and Public Health England.
Finally, please continue to follow the government's guidance on how to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, by reviewing the advice provided here
