Active Harborough Heroes 2020
Nominate your 2020 Heroes today
Under current restrictions, Active Harborough District Sports Alliance are unable to deliver our annual Sports Awards Ceremony in our traditional format. However, we recognise that there are still many dedicated people and organisations working hard in our community to help provide opportunities for people to keep active in unprecedented circumstances.
As such, we are inviting nominations from the residents of our District to tell us who has been a standout Active Harborough Hero for you?
In partnership with Harborough Lotto and Everyone Active, our headline sponsors, we are asking you to get your thinking caps on!
Maybe they fit in to the traditional category criteria for your sportsperson / junior sportsperson of the year? Have they used a physical activity challenge to help raise funds for a local charity? Perhaps they have created online content that has really helped you to stay motivated?
Think how you would answer the question:
How has this person been an Active Harborough Hero in the last 12 months?
To nominate, please complete the nomination form below. Be quick as entries are only open until Sunday 29th November 2020.
Successful nominations will receive a little something to acknowledge their success.
During December, look out for a showcase of sport and physical activity superstars on our social media channels.
The Harborough Lotto is very excited to be involved with this year's Active Harborough Heroes Event.
Harborough Lotto and its prizes are our way of putting the fun in fundraising.
The real winners are the good causes.
From every £1 ticket sold 60p will go to good causes in Harborough District and players have a chance to win up to £25k.
We hope you'll join us in making Harborough District even better and have some fun along the way.
As operators of Harborough Leisure Centre and Lutterworth Sports Centre, Everyone Active have been right there alongside the residents of Harborough, trying to find innovative ways to keep members active.
Through repurposing areas of the centres for different activities to creating a wealth of virtual content alongside existingon-line offers - they've had to adapt with the ever changing COVID landscape.
