Emily and Rebekah Hollingsworth

"The 2 sisters are a true inspiration, they are always raising money for different charities off of their own backs. Since lockdown Emily wanted to raise money for the NHS, she asked her sister Rebekah to help her. They started by selling tomato and sunflower plants and raised £41. They then moved on to do a charity bike ride, they aimed to cycle 100 miles doing a minimum of 5 miles a day, because they were also doing a sponsored walk on alternate days for their netball team also raising money for the NHS. Their mum set up a just giving page on social media. They posted daily updates. Unfortunately the cycling ended at 91 miles when Emily fell off her bike breaking her wrist. It wasn't safe to carry on cycling but they were determined to finish so they decided to finish by walking the remaining 9 miles. To date they have raised £575. I'm so proud of them both"

This was a lovely nomination from the girls' school - it's easy to see why they are so proud of these two very determined young ladies.

Well done Ladies!
