Activities for Older Adults

Remaining active throughout our lives is important and can help us to live better, for longer. There are a range of activities you can get involved in across the district, so why not have a look at the link and find a suitable session.


Steady Steps

Steady Steps is a falls prevention programme, designed to increase strength and mobility for people who are at risk of falling.

You can self-refer onto the scheme for an assessment, or professionals can refer patients into the service. Please click the link for more information and to register your interest in the scheme.


Exercise Referral Scheme

The Exercise Referral Scheme is to help individuals with a medical condition to exercise safely, with instructors qualified to design programmes to support a more active and healthy lifestyle.

To access the scheme you must be referred by your GP or a medical practitioner.


JUST

JUST get involved is a local campaign to encourage more females into sport and physical activity opportunities. The programme has its own website with more detailed content all year round, however the annual JUST campaign is delivered between January and March.
